Galway Races: The Galway Plate (What I Wore)

As you know I have been so excited about the Galway Races this year! Today was my first day attending the 2013 festival and although the weather could have been better it did not dampen our spirits. I started the day by collecting my headpiece for Ladies Day tomorrow from Mary White Millinery. I cannot wait to show you it tomorrow…it is very Bec Boop! I then visited Peter Marks and got my hair done. I am trying to grow out the layers in my hair and keep the length so I just went for a trim. I decided to do something different with the fringe area and got a thick side fringe cut into my hair which I love. It will take some time to train it to stay in place.
My make up centered on the Oriflame Triplecore 3D Lipstick which I absolutely loved. I will review this on the blog next week when all the Galway Races festivities have calmed down. I also wore Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation in ‘Ivory’ which I will also review here next week for you. I went for drastic eyes with Rimmel Soft Kohl eye liner in black and MAC Pigment Colour Powder in shade 010, I always use the MAC pigment colour powder when creating drastic eyes and really like the effect.

I wore a Royal Blue dress from Coast today which I bought over a year ago for a wedding and had not worn since. I love this colour although given that the weather was not great I would have liked to have gone for a more fitted look as the wind tended to take the dress for a twirl and I had to keep a hold on it when outside. I wore brown stilettos, a cream scarf and jewellery from Penneys/Primark. My sister Stephanie (Model) wore a lilac Karen Millen dress, Guess handbag and shoes from Penneys/Primark. I love the exceptionally high bun she wore! We had a great day at the races but sadly I had no winners. Hopefully I will have better luck tomorrow!
