Racing Glam Photoshoot | Styling

Last Summer I styled a photoshoot for International magazine – Keel magazine which had a racing glam theme. The shots were finally published in Keel magazine Volume 5 which means I can share the shoot with you all here. “Click to View Post” under the image to continue reading more about the team I worked with and to view more photos from the shoot.

You all know how much I absolutely love the Galway Races so I was thrilled to work on this photoshoot with styling inspired by my favourite time of year. Harper stock such a range of dresses which are perfect for racing glam. For the first look I contrasted a simple black pencil dress with one of Aga Kelly’s striking yellow headpieces. I fell in love with the dress in the second look as soon as I spotted it in store. It’s one of those structured style dresses that not everyone can pull off but Grace Lynch looked stunning in it. The snakeskin textured material is quite dressy so I paired it with one of the simpler headpieces co-ordinating to the colour of the dress. Our wonderful make up artist Ewa Doszczak; who I have worked with many times before; altered Grace’s makeup to suit each look with perfection. For the final look I was thinking ‘classic races fashion’ with red dress, red lippie and black accessories. I love the side detail on the dress. The overall structured feel to the look was complimented by one of Aga Kelly’s pearl detail headpiece which had a really classic feel to it. We also shot this look with one of Aga’s red headpieces which I loved. I added the striking embellished clutch from LP Designed for You to make the overall look a little younger but still classic. It was another fun fashion styling experience and the photos (by the wonderful Sweet Memories photography) were published in an international magazine! How awesome is that! Although we did the shoot quite a few months ago now it was still an amazing feeling to see the finished project and of course it’s no harm to start thinking about what we are all going to wear to this year’s racing festival!!
