Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Launch Limerick | Event & Review

I can’t believe it’s the last day of May. Where did this month go? Last week I was invited to attend the launch of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, which was taking place in Bellissimo, Limerick.

Not many press events take place in Limerick so I was thrilled to be able to head over for a look during my lunchbreak (so convenient) as I work in Limerick usually. I met with International Make-Up Artist Philip Luque who gave me a brief history and background to Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. I then received a one-on-one demonstration of the product range which I really enjoyed. Philip also treated me to a preview of the products which will soon be launched in Ireland including a liquid eye-liner pen with impressive lasting power and a festive metallic shadow trio which I cannot wait to get my hands on! Watch this space beauty lovers!
If you’ve been following my blog for a while you will know I am a big fan of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics ever since being introduced to the brand for my birthday makeover in Matt O’Flaherty chemists Galway. Following the makeover I picked up and reviewed the brow artiste set. This is the only mineral cosmetics brand I have been using and I just love every product I’ve tried! The fact that the make-up is actually good for your skin really impresses me as it protects and nourishes your skin all day long. Before I darted back to work Elaine from Closer 2 Fabulous (where YB is available exclusively online) gave me a goodie bag packed with Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics products to try out.
Youngblood Tangelo Lipstick

Lipstick – Tangelo

This is the orange lipstick I have been waiting all year to find. To say it’s amazing is an understatement. I am so impressed by both the intensity and smoothness of the cream-like lipstick. It lasted for hours on my lips and didn’t fade or leave the dreaded tangerine line around the lips. This is due to the special blend of natural oils and vitamins in the YB formula. This lipstick is available for €18 in 22 different shades but I personally think this bold lip shade – tangelo is perfect for Summer.
Youngblood Sunshine Mineral Radiance

Sunshine Mineral Radiance

The Youngblood Sunshine Mineral Radiance bronzer is great for contouring. As a bronzer I didn’t find it overhwhelmingly dark and it worked well even with my pale complexion. The mineral radiance collection is available for €37 in different shades including blush and highlighters also.
Youngblood Extreme Pigment Eye Pencil

Extreme Pigment Eye Pencil

Youngblood are not exaggerating when they say ‘Extreme Pigment’! I’ve been using this eye pencil along my water-line almost on a daily basis since I received it and I find it so darkly pigmented. The pencil shade I got is ‘blackest black’. I found it much more long-lasting than some eye pencils on the market at the moment without any colour-running disasters. This comes in six shades for €11.

Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad

I’ve been lusting after this eye-shadow set ever since Patrycja used it for my makeover in March. I received the Moulin Rouge set which contains 4 brown to red shades. I was a bit apprehensive about using the reddest shade ‘Red Light’ but I had a go and ended up blending all 4 shades for one look. It is so awesome and I think this will be my go-to eyeshadow set for the rest of the Summer. There are 9 selections available in the pressed mineral eyeshadow quad for €39 and although the Moulin Rouge set is the only one I have tried I would definitely recommend it.
So there you have it. I’ve been using all my new Youngblood products religiously since I received them. I am so happy to have this celeb-fave brand available in Ireland, exclusively through a number of pharmacies nationwide and am looking forward to trying out more of their new products over the coming months.

I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. Have you tried Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics or any of the above products before? What were your thoughts?
