I was due to collaborate with Sweet Memories Photography last weekend on a Valentine’s themed photoshoot however as a result of the terrible weather we had to postpone to this weekend. We shot three casual Valentine’s themed outfits and I am thrilled with the results. Here is the first look (and my personal favourite).
Blazer Next // Lovehearts Tee & Necklace Penneys // Pink Jeans Zara // Shoes Schuh // Sunglasses American Eagle (Shop similar items below)
I love colour blocking and I definitely think this trend works best with pale colours. Pastels are making a big comeback this season, I actually got these jeans in Zara a few Summers ago and I still get lots of wear out of them. At the time I also bought them in two different colours I just loved the fit so much. When wearing jeans with heels I always tend to turn-up the ends, I think this adds a bit of extra (much-needed, in my case) height. The Lovehearts t-shirt is super cute for this time of year. I picked it up in Primark when I was in London last week. This is a size 8 and it’s quite a baggy/over-sized fit so I tucked it into my jeans to work with the tailored look I was going for. A lace blazer is so perfect for Spring. They are light and dressy at the same time.
We shot this look in Rinville Park in Oranmore which is somewhere I used to go quite a lot when I was younger. It is a really pretty park full of walks and beautiful scenery. I have worked on a few photoshoots in this location and I am always taken aback by the beauty of the backdrop. I was surprised by the change in the weather this week after the terrible storms we have been through lately. I even had to wear my sunglasses in some shots as the sun was blinding!
I would love to hear from you in the comments below. Is this a look you would wear?
