What Salon is a free app which is aimed at both customers and salon owners and is perfect for us Irish girls! Users can quickly find a salon in their areas offering the required treatment and make a last-minute real-time booking.
No more do we have to Google ‘Hair Salon Galway’ or ‘Beauty salon Dublin’; dial the numbers individually and pray for a free appointment time that suits…Now we can just simply open What Salon and let it work its magic.

The team have really gone to a lot of effort in developing this app and promoting it. There is a user friendly ‘how to’ video on the website (HERE) which talks through how the app works from both the consumers perspective and the beauty salon owners point of view. This is the first app of its kind worldwide and we are lucky that it is available right here! In Ireland the app is currently available in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Limerick and it is pretty easy to use. Basically it picks up on your location to enable you to search for the required treatment in a salon in your area. The search options are: Hair, nails, waxing, face, eyes, massage and tanning. Each with a few sub-options to refine your search criteria by. Some of the sub-headings include: Ladies cut (stylist), shellacs, HD Brows, Full body spray and lots of other options. You then select a time that suits based on your personal schedule and click ‘Find an Appointment’.
This is certainly a brainwave of an app for this fast generation where everyone is constantly on-the-go and I predict it will be very successful, in fact I have given What Salon the first 5★ rating for an App Review on Bec Boop Fashionista World! Since I live in a pretty rural area in Galway I had to zoom out the search area in order to pick up some salons. Then you have the option to review the suitable salons based on the results and treatment costs. Book Now enables you to book your treatment and provides you with directions to the salon. There is no extra cost incurred through using the app with 10% deposit payable on the app at the time of making the booking using your credit card once registered. The remaining balance is payable once you attend the salon and receive your treatment. I know that as this app develops and more salons join, it will become a must-have beauty app worldwide.

I'm pretty sure this app will be so successful. Since most of us are always on-the-go, we’ll most likely be having last minute salon appointments. With this app on your smartphone, it'll be easier to book a treatment. At least you won't waste your time waiting in line or for looking for a salon who will accommodate you.
