It’s always nice to get a free product when you walk into Benefit Cosmetics. This occurred when I unknowingly booked a brow arch at my local Benefit Cosmetics store (Angel, Islington) and it just so happened that Benefit were promoting this offer for the month of May. With every brow arch treatment you would receive a free Gimme Brow product and the fee from your treatment would be donated to charity. Since this was my first time trying out Gimme Brow I thought I’d share my thoughts here with you.
The Product
Basically Gimme Brow* is a brow volumising fibre gel product. It comes in a mascara-like tube with a small spoolie which you use to apply the gel directly to your eyebrows. The innovative formula then sticks to your skin/hair to effectively give you brows where there were none previously. Hence the tagline. It can be built up quite easily to give the illusion of full thick brows which is something we all realistically lust after. There are two shades to choose from – Light/Medium or Medium/Deep.
My Thoughts
In previous eyebrow product reviews I’ve mentioned how my fair eyebrows are the bane of my life. I usually get them tinted and waxed but to be honest the tint wears off after a couple of weeks max. I find it hard to fill them in too as I like them to be dark and full but it’s not easy to find the perfect shade. I usually use the Youngblood Brow Artiste kit which I quite like; toying between the wax and the powder which comes in the set. I had not tried a brush-on gel product for my brows before receiving Gimme Brow so I was intrigued to say the least. The tube is a little on the small side so I can’t speak yet for how long it will last but on the plus – it’s the perfect travel size.
My verdict is quite a positive one. I’ve found a super easy brow product which actually makes my brows look great! I really like the Gimme Brow product, it’s so easy to apply and the light/medium shade which I went for matches my brows super well. You can see a swatch of the shade below if you’re interested. During the morning rush this will definitely save me time on getting ready and I’d be confident enough to apply it mid-commute if needs be.
