Conditioning Hair Treats

I hope you all had a lovely weekend I was super busy with photoshoots which you will see more of here later in the week. Tonight’s post is all about conditioning hair treats. A few years ago I tried a few variants of the ‘bob’ however since getting engaged I have been growing my hair for the big day! Conditioning treatments are an essential for anyone trying to grow their hair.

These are the two products which I tried out yesterday. Honestly I have been following the standard shampoo/conditioner routine so I was well overdue a deep conditioning treatment. I used a hair mask and a restoring conditioning spray.

First up the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Deep Nourishing Intensive Mask. I haven’t used a hair mask before so I was quite excited about trying this and giving my locks some love. The mask contains coconut extracts and like most Herbal Essences products smells amazing! I love anything coconut scented so this was a plus. The mask is lathered onto the hair after shampooing from root to tip taking extra care at the tip. It is recommended that this is left on for five minutes and then rinsed away. I followed this process and certainly noticed an improvement in the overall condition as compared to my use of a regular conditioner. Using a hair mask like this once a week is advised for exceptional results and this is something I am going to build into my haircare routine going forward. This intensive mask retails at €6.19 for 200ml which I think is quite good value for the number of uses you will get out of it.
L'oreal Paris Elvive Full Restore conditioning repairing spray

The second product I tried as part of yesterday’s hair care treats was the L’oréal Paris Elvive Full Restore 5 Conditioning Repairing Spray. This is a leave in conditioning spray which promises to replenish and restore fullness along with detangling your hair. This spray can be used on a daily basis either on damp hair after washing or in between washes. I used this after washing my hair and sprayed it on my hair, focusing on the lengths as advised. I didn’t take much notice of the scent however the spray went a long way towards detangling my mane which I found quite good! I would recommend using a spray like this with longer hair as it can be difficult to avoid breakages when combing your hair after a wash.
Have you tried either of these products? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
