I do love a good BB cream; even more so during the Spring/Summer months when I’m not looking for heavy coverage with my foundation. The Beauty Crowd recently sent me the Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream which I’ve reviewed and shared my thoughts on below.
Background & What it Promises
Ginvera is a Singapore based skincare brand which has swept Asia. Enriched with Green Tea, Ginseng, Hylauronic Acid and Chinese Anglica the BB Cream promises a long-lasting smooth and light feel to nourish and protect skin. It comes in one universal shade to suit all skin tones. Apply after daily skincare routine by tapping gently to blend into skin.
Bec Boop’s Thoughts
The packaging is quite simple, the product comes in a squeeze tube. I was quite surprised by the consistency as it was quite liquid/fluid like as compared to some of the other BB Creams which I’ve reviewed. They generally tend to have a more creamy consistency. This wasn’t a negative point however as the formula proved super easy to apply and blend with a small amount of product going quite a long way. Hylauronic Acid is quite a big buzz word in the skincare world at the moment so I was quite impressed to see this listed. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that the shade of the BB Cream is universal and suitable for everyone. Naturally it will be too dark or too light for certain skin tones so you have have to add some bronzer if you have a darker skin tone. Luckily it matched my skin tone quite well. £17.95 appears to be a little pricey for a BB Cream but this is countered by the fact that you get a decent sized tube for this price (25ml) which lasts quite well. Ginvera isn’t a brand I was familiar with but I’d be interested in reading reviews on some of their other skincare products as I quite liked this one.
