Outfit | Irish Fashion Innovation Awards 2015

Last week I went along to the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards 2015 in Galway. I always enjoy getting glammed up for this fashion event which has become an annual ritual for my sister Stephanie and I. This year I went for a really simple white dress which I actually picked up the day before the event! We took some outfit photos before heading out and the evening light captured the white dress so beautifully. I absolutely love this first photo as it’s quite rare my butterfly tattoo makes an appearance (there’s a little surprise if you didn’t already know I have a tattoo).

House of Portobello is an exclusive fashion boutique in Galway city. I’m always lusting after the dresses on their online store as they often stock celeb faves. Stephanie and I popped in last week when I was back in Galway and House of Portobello shared a snap of us with our shopping bags on their instagram page. I spotted this dress on the hanger and it’s actually one of the rare times I tried something on before buying it. You know how I am at this stage about time management and if the fit looks right I generally just go ahead and make the purchase. This time was an exception though and I was super glad I did try it on. I loved the fit on me and the simple style was just perfect for the fashion innovation awards event. So of course I had to buy the dress 🙂 I teamed it with my lilac ankle strap sandals and this Dune handbag which Stephanie had given me for my birthday. She also gave me the really unique leaf-cuff bracelet which I love. You can get a better look at the shoes in my New Look fashion haul video over on the Bec Boop YouTube channel
I had been to Prestige Salon earlier that day for a hair and beauty makeover which I blogged about last week in a ‘Get Ready with me for the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards‘ post. I really liked this hair style and it suited the overall classic feel that I was going for.
