In the first beauty product review of 2015 I’m looking at my newest eyeshadow palette – the Urban Decay Vice 3. It came as a surprise to many beauty bloggers when Urban Decay launched this palette recently (myself included) and I was thrilled when my brother gave it to me as a Christmas gift. This latest offering from Urban Decay consists of a palette of 20 eye-catching eyeshadow colours. First off the packaging is amazing. The palette comes in a metallic jewel-encrusted case with travel pouch (see below) and a double-ended brush. I’m a big fan of the Urban Decay palettes using my Naked 3 practically on a daily basis at this stage so I had quite high hopes for this one.

The range of colours is indeed quite vast and consists of everything from nudes to vibrant shades of green and burgundy to dark velvety colours. The finishes are matte, metallic, sparkle and satin. The palette itself is organised from left to right – nude, jewel and smoky. With 20 shades there are so many combinations to try. My personal favourite combinations are (1) Undone and Brokedown and also (2) Bondage and Defy. I also really like the glistening shades like Heroine and Freeze. The full size mirror in the case makes it perfect for on-the-go makeovers and travelling! I’m looking forward to being a bit more adventurous with my eyeshadows going forward.
