#DayTripToChic is all about sharing that special Summer daytrip away from the hustle and bustle in a chic and stylish manner. I live in Athenry, a lovely medieval town just ouside Galway city. I spend a lot of time in Galway and Limerick city between work and everything so sometimes it’s nice to just escape to Athenry and embrace the beauty of the town which surrounds me. I decided to shoot this look in Athenry train station as it is one of the cutest little train stations I’ve seen. The station has been around since 1851 and still retains that vintage ambience. When I think day trip the first thing that pops into my head is travel but as I commute by car so much with work it’s fun for me to take other modes of transport such as the train. So although my ideal day trip is to Athenry I could really head off anywhere I liked on the train for the day 🙂

For my #DayTripToChic outfit I went with a vibrant printed blazer. Chic to me encompasses pointed heels, simplicity and co-ordination and this is what inspired today’s outfit. There is nothing more stylish than a blazer and heels combo. I love the colours in this look as they pop and are quite ‘Summery’. There’s nothing like ‘tropical print’ to add to that Summer feel. I added a simple clutch bag, statement necklace and beaded headband to complete the look. These jeans are also great for a chic look as the high-waisted detail and skinny leg really compliments the heels.
