Miley Cyrus touched down in Dublin yesterday to bring her Bangerz Tour to Ireland. I went along with my sister and we got in the full spirit of all things Miley πŸ™‚

We had been looking forward to this concert for so long and Miley didn’t disappoint. Performing non-stop for nearly two hours she put on an amazing show. I had been watching the youtube videos so knew what to expect but nothing is better than being there in person at the concert. I loved everything about it from the crazy blow-up animals, twerking, shiny designer leotards to her OTT pink eye-liner and sparkly make-up. Miley performed all the hits from her Bangerz album along with Can’t be Tamed and covers of the Smiths, ‘There is a light that never goes out’ and Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ (of course giving it the Miley touch with a few extra lines such as FU Jolene!).
We made our way to the O2 pretty early as we had standing tickets and wanted to get a good spot. While in the queue we were interviewed by the Irish Independent which you can watch here. Once we got into the concert we were pretty happy with our location as we had an awesome view of the stage. For fear of sounding old here I was so disappointed in the behaviour of some of the girls at the concert. People arriving late and expecting to push their way through the crowd who had been standing for nearly two hours after arriving early to get a good position. Well, Bec Boop doesn’t take being pushed about lightly and although I may be small I was making sure nobody pushed through me and my sister. Sadly I was threatened with assault more than once in an absolutely disgusting manner and all I can say is this sort of behaviour is an embarrassment. I did not let these little-minded people ruin the concert however and we had a fantastic time!! All controversy aside Miley is an amazing and an exceptionally talented artist. I don’t believe she needs to be a role model for kids, and her music certainly isn’t targeted at this age bracket. She is an individual who s comfortable in her own skin and in this respect is a role model to certain people. I love all the songs on her latest album and can relate to a lot of them as she truly sings from her heart. Her recent heartbreak after split from fiancΓ© Liam Hemsworth is evident in a number of songs and this is something I can relate to.
Anyone else head along to the concert?
What are your thoughts on the Miley Cyrus drama? Is it all a big fuss over nothing?
