October is almost upon us and there is just enough time to post September’s app review! Style-Eyes was launched during this months Dublin Fashion Festival and although I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch party, due to work commitments I could not attend. This did not stop me from downloading the app as soon as it was available and taking it for a little test run!

This app is pretty cool! Have you used Shazam? Basically the Shazam of fashion which involves three stages: Snap it – take a photo of the dress, top or shoes, Find it – Style-Eyes searches across 1,300 well known brands to find a match and finally, Bag it – Buy the item using the app at a discount price. Winner of the Enterprise Ireland “One to Watch” award earlier this year three schoolmates developed the multi-platform app. I have used the app since it was launched to search for items I like although I have yet to make a purchase through the app so cannot comment on that part of the process. I have found it particularly useful in situations where I find an item in a shop which I adore but is not available in-store in my size! Out comes Style-Eyes and with a quick snap on my phone I can find the nearest outlet which sells a similar item. Some of the most well known high street brands have opted in to the app including Debenhams, House of Fraser and Miss Selfridges and over 350 UK and US retailers.
