Suzie Mahony is a milliner from Galway city, Ireland; my hometown. I was so excited to hear she would be presenting her SS16 couture collection during London Fashion Week at the House of iKons  International fashion show and thrilled to be invited along. I also had a chance to catch up with Suzie before the show and ask her some questions about the inspiration behind her collection.

I really enjoyed this presentation, the focus was entirely on the stunning, brightly coloured hats and headpieces. The collection consisted of ten pieces for which Suzie drew inspiration from the movement and vibrant colours of butterflies. Personally, I was thrilled to see a Galway designer featured during London Fashion Week. Suzie told me she was very excited as it was her first time to present at LFW.
