Daniela Barros was the last show which I seen on the Saturday of London Fashion Week SS16. This took place at the On/Off space at the Vinyl Factory in Soho which I had visited for some morning shows that day too. The Portuguese designer made use of asymmetric cuts and crisp garments for her SS16 collection.
I enjoyed the simplistic style and her use of excessive layering in the pieces. The looks were each minimalistic and yet mis-matched lengths combined with combat pocket detail gave them an innovative edge. Textures such as denim contrasted with Japanese silk to bring her SS16 collection to life.
The production was very appropriate for Daniela Barros SS16 collection with a simple white runway and excessive overhead lighting. Again, there was no data connection in the venue so I was unable to stream this show on my Periscope channel (@BoopFashionista); you can however see a video on the Bec Boop Facebook page here.
