I’ve been sharing my ultimate festival favourites, just in time for Glastonbury 2015! I recently blogged about the ultimate festival shoes and in keeping with this theme today I thought I would share my thoughts on the ultimate festival hat! You know I’m a massive hat lover. I think it’s a thing – you either love ’em or hate ’em and I’m definitely in the former so this was a challenge I was more than happy to pursue. After a lot of consideration I finally decided that the Stott & Scott Floppy’wester was the deserving winner of this accolade.
A Bit about the Brand
Stott & Scott are a UK hat brand founded by two fashion-loving best friends. They have designed the floppy’wester hat which was borne out of friendship, love and a passion for happiness. All Stott & Scott products are made in the UK using UK based products. The idea behind the hat came from the changeable British weather taking inspiration from 1960’s style trends.
The Floppy’wester*
As soon as I spotted this hat I knew it was the perfect festival hat. It’s a hat that is suitable for all weather – rain or shine. Outfit planning for festivals in the UK or Ireland is never easy, the weather is so changeable, as we know and I thought it was so great to have a headpiece which has you covered on all bases when it comes to weather! The hat is reversible with contrasting lace and waxed cotton. So when the heavens open at a concert simply turn your hat inside out ensuring the waxed side is on the outer. There are a number of different styles available with prices ranging from £35 – £50. My favourite is the Britpop; which is the black & white version featured in this blog post. I love the lace detail, it’s super stylish along with being a very practical, fashion choice.
As always, I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. Let me know your ultimate festival hat!
