It’s time to share another outfit with you here on the blog. There’s a common misconception that shorter ladies can’t wear maxi skirts but I’m here to prove that wrong. In fact this is the second time I’ve featured a maxi skirt in an outfit post, you might recall this coral style maxi skirt I wore in Summer 2013. Read on for today’s outfit details and more photographs.

I introduced you to the London based concept design store 1of1 Design last week on the blog and I really couldn’t wait to style these pieces up. We’ve been having lovely early Summer weather lately in London so it’s the perfect time of year to whip out the maxi skirt and Primark have a fantastic selection in-store. I picked up this black one which I showed you in my March Haul video over on Youtube as I thought it was quite versatile and would be super easy to style. I’ve been living in my American Eagle denim jacket ever since I picked it up during the #AEODenimDiaries event. It’s so nice to have another denim jacket in my wardrobe again, I used to love them when I was in school but haven’t had one in years! I wanted to keep the outfit quite casual as we were going for a Sunday stroll so I wore my super comfy River Island plimsole shoes.
I mentioned in a recent outfit post that I had stumbled upon this brick wall near my flat in London. Well, I’m after finding a white wall nearby and cannot decide which makes the better outfit background, what do you think?
As always, I’d love to hear from you guys in the comments below. What’s your favourite way to style a maxi skirt?

I can only answer the first question ("better outfit background"): you nailed it with the latter choice.

I love that tee; it's so cute. And to answer your question, I reckon the white wall is the winner x
Thanks Ed.
Thanks Gareth! Going with the white wall anymore 🙂
You're welcome. Good stuff x
