Happy October! There’s a real chill in the air today and I’m looking forward to the crisp month ahead. Today on the blog I’m featuring an outfit from my everyday office wardrobe. I was challenged by Ladbrokes to share my favourite workplace look. Just ‘Click to view Post’ to continue reading and for more photos…

Blue vest Forever 21 // Headband New Look // Pants Forever 21
This is one of my favourite looks for the office; blue and black is always a classic go-to colour combo for me. The sleeveless vest is a stylish alternative to a blazer and the belt detail adds some shape to the look. It can also be worn over a long-sleeved blouse as we move into colder weather. The worry when it comes to female office fashion is that it can sometimes look a little masculine so I tend to veer towards fitted pieces or to add a waist belt for detail. I also think it’s key to incorporate your own style into your workplace look. Just because you’re at work doesn’t mean you have to stop being yourself! Personally I wear bows with everything so when it comes to my work look I like to add a bow headband or something cute that still feels like ‘my style’. Straight legged black pants and a good pair of heels are office essentials. My office wardrobe only consists of a small number of high-heels which can be incorporated into many different looks. The majority of my office looks are easy to put together but also simple to mix-and-match.
I’ve also recently uploaded an everyday office beauty video to my YouTube channel with my quick and easy make up tips for heading to work!
Ladbrokes recently conducted a survey among the Irish workforce and I was really surprised by the results. The survey found that only 44% of the Irish workforce consider themselves to be fashion conscious at work with 20% of those surveyed agreeing that looking well presented at work can give you a better chance of promotion!
I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. What are your thoughts on fashion in the workplace?
