Holos skincare is a brand I came across on the #IrishBizParty twitter chat recently. I love discovering new Irish brands to work with on twitter it’s great! Holos skincare from nature is the creation of Niamh Hogan, a Natural Health Practitioner from the South East of Ireland.

I have had quite sensitive skin lately so I was quite looking forward to trying out the Holos range. These products are made with pure essential oils which are both beneficial for the skin and help nurture the overall wellbeing. Since I am such a busy little bee I don’t tend to give my nightime skincare the attention it deserves. Keeping this in mind Niamh sent me some products from the ‘Good Night’ range which consists of everything you need for night time moisurising. No I have no excuse!

The Holos Good Night Body Oil is massaged into the skin or alternatively used as a bath oil. The scents of lavender, chamomile & rose in sweet almond oil encourage relaxation which is just what we all need after a busy day of working and blogging! This was my first time using such a product and I am slightly addicted now! Only a few drops are needed each night and my skin felt wonderfully soft after it. It was so nice to try such a relaxing product. The Good Night Body Oil is available online for €16.30. From this range I also reviewed the Good Night Rich Night Cream which retails at €16.60. Again the lavender, chamomile and rose essential oil combination treat your skin whilse you sleep. I find this cream, although it is really relaxing to use after a hectic day; is a little rich to use every night. I would recommend a little skin treat with this night cream once a week after cleansing.

Finally I also tested the Holos Anti-Ageing Facial Oil from the Love Your Skin range, retails at €22.20 This oil contains a mix of rose, palmerosa, benzoin and frankincense which are combined with Argan oil and help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I’m a firm believer in prevention is better than cure and you are never too young to incorporate an anti-ageing product into your skincare routine. This oil helps reduce inflammation of the skin and encourages smoother skin. 

Overall I really enjoyed trying out these products and think they are quite reasonably priced for such good quality, natural, healthy products. My skin has really thanked me after a week of using the Holos Good Night range and they are perfect for anyone with sensitive skin who might be worried about using over-perfumed products.
