After three days of racing already behind us it was soon time to get ready for the biggest day of the Galway Races week – Ladies Day. The Body Shop Ireland had kindly offered to do both mine and Stephanie‘s makeup for the big day so we booked the earliest appointment and headed down to the Shop Street, Galway store for our makeovers.
Makeup at The Body Shop, Galway
I’m a big fan of the Body Shop skincare products, as you will have seen them popping up frequently here on my blog and YouTube channel. I’ll admit however I’ve never had a proper opportunity to check out their makeup range and I wasn’t even aware that they offer a makeover service. From many Ladies Day experiences it makes the preparation a whole lot easier if you have a makeup appointment booked as you really need to be at the racecourse super early that day.
The beauty team at The Body Shop gave us long-lasting, Ladies Day makeovers matching the makeup to the pops of colour in our headpieces. We also picked up some makeup and skincare tips from the makeup artist which I’m always appreciative of.
To finish the look we got a spritz of the beautiful The Sparkler body shimmer from the Body Shop and we were good to go!
Again, I loved the Mark Garvie Millinery headpieces we wore for the fourth day of the Racing Festival. I wore a fantastic floral crown and Stephanie wore an over-sized headpiece which was certainly eye-catching.
Stephanie of course managed to continue the trend appearing on the Irish RTE News Galway Races coverage again.
I also met up with the ladies from What Salon who I have been following on Periscope so that was a nice treat.
As is compulsory tradition during Race Week in Galway we ended the night at the Radisson Galway #RadBluRaces event where we partied the night away in style!
