Happy September fashionistas! I’ve just noticed that Bec Boop reached 200,000 total blog views so this is a fantastic start to the month! I’ve reviewed some face primers from Paese Cosmetics just ‘Click to View Post’ below for the full review.
There are three make-up bases available in the collection so I tried out each of them as part of the review. These primers were developed to “enhance a flawless complexion, creating a perfect canvas that allows you to apply your make-up effortlessly”. The primers can be used alone or under your foundation, if using with make-up Paese recommend applying the base five minutes before applying foundation.
I tried out each primer under my daily foundation base. First up is the Paese mattifying base for oily, combination and t-bar skin. This base contains Vitamin E and silicone and is recommended for evening out the skin and creating a more youthful appearance. This base is a clear fluid which is absorbed quickly into the skin. Then we have the Paese illuminating base for dull, tired skin. This contains illuminating micro-pigments which reflect the light beautifully giving you an instantly brighter complexion. Finally the Paese smoothing base for normal to dry skin is a light, creamy formula promising to give you silky smooth skin. This base is enriched with macadamia nut oils for natural moistursation.
The primers are €12.99 for 15ml available from www.paese.ie (where you can also check out local stockists). I was really impressed with the illuminating base. It’s become an essential part of my ‘night out’ make-up routine now as it gives the perfect party glow. I love it! There are no overwhelming perfumed scents and for sensitive skin I had no issues using these under my make-up. I wouldn’t use the illuminating base for a normal day time look and in this case I would recommend using one of the mattifying or smoothing bases. I had a chance to check out more of the Paese cosmetics products at the Ultimate Girls Day Out event recently.
I’d love to hear from anyone else who has tried Paese cosmetics as this is a relatively new brand to Ireland so do let me know in the comments below.
