Last Thursday myself and Aisling from Pale Girl blog organised and hosted ‘Limerick’s Got Style‘, a charity fashion event in Limerick city. We were thrilled to raise €400 for the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation along with presenting a fantastic night of fashion fun.
The night kicked off with a discount evening in O’Donnell boutique where we were invited to present to customers on our favourite Spring Trends. I spoke about monochrome and printed pants. Two of my favourite looks for SS14. O’Donnell boutique put together a really cool video from the evening which you can watch below.
We then headed back to the Parlour venue on Thomas St. in Limerick where Limerick’s Got Style was due to commence shortly. Our models were all ready to having got their hair done in Bellissimo Academy and Make-Up by Mellissa Mayne Make-Up.
The night kicked off with our pop-up shops which were set up in the retro-style venue. We had Candy Ali’s Jewellery Emporium which is run by Alison from Weird and Wonderful Blog. Cellar Door vintage also had a pop-up shop and Aisling presented her first collection from She’s a Wildflower Floral Accessories with another pop-up shop.

Niamh from Love Life Blog also came by to judge the Best Dressed Competition.
I was excited to organise and host this event and delighted everyone had a fantastic night. All photos from the event were taken by Paul Skot from Shutter PK photography who kindly travelled from Galway to cover the event for us. Thank you so much Paul! Check out the full album on the Shutter PK facebook page.
I loved my dress which was a bodycon style look from the Ivory Closet. The swan detail and pastel shades just won me over as soon as I seen the dress on the hanger.
I can’t thank everyone enough who supported and helped out in the run-up to the event, including Limerick City Community Radio who invited me on-air to talk about the event and also the Limerick Post newspaper who ran a preview in the paper. Thanks also to our amazing models, hair stylists, make-up artists, photographer, sound & light helpers, raffle prize sponsors, The Parlour venue and of course everyone who turned up on the night to support Limerick’s Got Style charity event. A massive thanks as always goes to my mam who is always behind the scenes at my fashion events working so hard to ensure everything goes smoothly out front.
I hope you all enjoyed the night, let me know if you would like to see more of these events in your area 🙂 There is nothing I love more than event planning especially when it involves fashion.
