I recently had an amazing opportunity to style a group collaboration shoot with Darach Glennon (Darachphotography). I was so excited to be a part of this shoot as I am trying to build up my styling portfolio and a group shoot was a fantastic learning experience. I have uploaded an album of images from shoots I have styled over on my facebook page www.facebook.com/becboop so you can take a look at my portfolio to date. I have selected some of my favourite images from this shoot to share here and believe me it was difficult as Darachphotography takes so many brilliant shots!
The shoot was vintage inspired by yester-year and I trawled some of the best vintage/costume stores in Galway to put together an array of outfits which would work well for the shoot. The various outfits and accessories came from the following stores: Community Aid Thrift Store, Gort (view their facebook page here), Mez’s Masquerade (Facebook page here) and Public Romance (Facebook page here). I adore royal blue and this colour really worked for the shoot along with the more casual outdoors looks for the grounds of the castle. It was a fun day with a great team including Eva Beauty Rooms (who has been so great in helping me out at various events including the Galway Bloggers Party) and Katie O’Brien MUA. A speacial thank you has to go to my mam who was a great help behind the scenes and also co-ordinating delivery/collection of clothing. As I work a full-time job aswell as blogging/styling I am always grateful for the help I get from my family as I could not partake in a lot of these collaborations/attend events without their support.
My darling sister Stephanie Casserly was one of the models in the shoot and she absolutely rocked the vintage blue lace dress and matching hat combo. I am so proud when I see her modelling shots, she is such a pro! Take a look at her modelling page here. Laydiane Costa Ramos, Sandra Coffey and Cliodhna McMahon also modelled in the shoot and were brilliant and so professional on the shoot at all times. I could not have worked with a better team for a first-time group collaboration shoot. Everyone was really transported back in time and took on the relevant roles in the Castle to make the shoot a success. A huge thank you to Darachphotography for organising the shoot and for requesting my involvement.
If you would like to know where any of the individual pieces are from please comment below. I hope you will take a look at my styling album over on the Bec Boop facebook page and please mail me at becboopfashionistaworld@gmail.com if you would like to contact me regarding styling photoshoots.
