NARS Sheer Glow foundation is easily one of the most talked about everyday beauty products. I first heard about it when I began watching beauty videos on YouTube but had not tried it until now. For my everyday foundation I usually stick with Clinique Even Better but feeling adventurous this time I thought I would try out the NARS Sheer Glow foundation.
I was matched to the most suitable shade in-store, Light 4 – Deauville. The makeup artist also gave me a bit of guidance as to how to get the best use of the foundation. I am always thrilled when makeup artists take time to share their tips with you. Sometimes you can feel a bit silly asking for such a popular product having never used it before! They explained that NARS foundation is best applied with your fingers rather than with a foundation brush. At £31 this is obviously the high-end of the beauty scale but I am a believer in investing in your foundation moreso than any other product.
First impressions, it came with a twist off lid and of course I don’t have a spare pump so that was a little annoying. I had mixed thoughts when I used it however. I love the overall sheerness of the look, it is quite natural looking and definitely very easy to wear on an everyday basis. Personally I find it great for my office makeup look as it is not too heavy. Unfortunately I struggled to see much of a glow. Perhaps it was just the shade I went with but I really could not see any glow or radiance from the foundation alone! That wasn’t enough to let me down however. The NARS Sheer Glow foundation is super buildable so it is perfect for dashing around London from work to an event as you can just top-up your base rather than removing it all and starting fresh.
I have been using it most days since the beginning of December so if you follow me on Periscope (@BoopFashionista) you will have seen how it looks.
