An outfit post is long overdue here on Bec Boop and so I’m happy to share one with you today. As you probably know London is having an absolute heatwave at the moment so I seized the opportunity to wear some Summer style! This is an outfit I wore last week when my sister came to visit in London and we did the London Duck Tours followed by a spot of shopping.

As a petite lady I sometimes fear the high-low dress. You guys know I do love a good fashion challenge though so I was excited to style this pretty, royal blue high-low dress for a daytime London look. Blue is one of my favourite colours to wear so I loved this dress right from the off. I also like how the skirt is mostly sheer with a shorter inner panel. I think it would make a great beach dress or addition to your vacation wardrobe. I paired it with the fringed sandals from New Look as these are quite a casual style shoe which still add a little extra height (a necessity when wearing a high-low dress). I also added some pops of colour with the waist belt and vibrant, statement necklace. It can be fun to not worry about being matchy-matchy! That’s it my look was almost complete, I just had to add one of my favourite hats which you have no doubt seen before on the blog! This striped, straw pork-pie hat is from Forever 21 and is a Summer fave for me!
I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. How would you style a high-low dress?
