Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield Review

Advance warning – Boop was in India recently and has lots of India travel and lifestyle posts coming! I have already shared my India beauty/skincare haul and today I’m telling you all about the hotel I stayed at for my trip – Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield (Bangalore). If you are following me on Periscope (@BoopFashionista) you will have seen quite a bit of the hotel already but otherwise, read on…

The Hotel

The Marriott Hotel Whitfield is located outside of the city of Bengaluru making it ideal for those who want the India experience with a little calmness. I was there for business primarily and Whitfield would be a large business district. It is however less than an hours car journey to the city which flew as I stared out the window in awe. Upon arrival after a 10.5 hour flight I was absolutely exhausted but I was instantly welcomed by such a warm, kind team at the Marriott. I couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore! The facilities are vast with something to suit everyone from the spa, karaoke nights, themed food events (see below), gym and much more. Did I mention there’s also a shopping mall practically inside the hotel! Boop was in shopping heaven 🙂 Admittedly it is a five-star resort so you are going to have high expectations but I have no doubt that the Marriott Whitfield will exceed them!

The Room

I stayed on the 17th floor of the hotel in a room with an amazing view that took away my breath every time I opened the curtains.

The Food

I enjoy Indian food anyways so I was pretty excited to try out the vast menu but nothing could have prepared me for the flavours and tastes I experienced during that week! Every meal is an occasion and the chefs will literally make anything you desire. I have never eaten as much in my life, it was all so good especially the sweets/desserts. I was super adventurous trying lots of local Indian delicacies. The hotel had a special Street Kitchen event during my stay which was amazing!! The waiters and chefs that I spoke with were all so lovely, and kind; I really enjoyed catching up with them every day.

More

During my stay I tried to do as much as possible. I had an Indian Head Massage in the spa in the hotel which was so good! A relaxing way to end my work day. The hotel are also great for recommending areas of interest for tourists. I was travelling alone and had no idea what to see or do in the city so they were able to give me some great suggestions including Bangalore Palace and the Nandi Hills which I’ll be writing about pretty soon on the blog too. There are hotel drivers available 24/7 and I had a pleasant experience with all of the drivers I met.
I found that the hotel staff could not have been any more accommodating. As mentioned I travelled alone and I had never ventured so far from home so there was an element of apprehension but I felt safe from the second I arrived right up to the second I left. A hotel team member guided me through the check-in process in the airport as far as the security stage and I was blown away by this amazing service!
