As you probably know from all of my social media channels I recently travelled to Bengaluru, India. Aside from being the most amazing and eye-opening experience of my life to date it was an opportunity to try some beauty products from the other side of the world. The shopping in India is a totally different experience to that in Ireland and the UK and I made sure to visit some beauty and skincare stores.
Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Mascara
Lakmé cosmetics was the beauty brand I seen the most of in India. It seemed to appear in a lot of the department stores and drug-stores I visited and ultimately I was talked into buying this mascara. Admittedly it didn’t take a lot of convincing, I’m a sucker for a bristle mascara brush over a plastic one anyway and this was super budget-friendly.
Colorbar Cosmetics Full Finish Long Wear Lipstick
I must say, out of all the products I picked up in India, I am absolutely loving the lipsticks. I’ve added these to my everyday makeup collection and this Colobar Cosmetics Long Wear Lipstick quickly found it’s niche in my essentials. I went for shade 03 Rare Truffle which is a nude to red shade that is perfect for my office makeup look. It lives up to it’s name too – very long lasting.
Colorbar Spotlight Illuminating Lotion
Now I decided to get this illuminating lotion in light of the latest beauty craze – strobing. I tried it in the shop and it looked beautiful but alas as soon as I arrived back in Ireland and unpackaged the lotion it just would not work! *sad face* For some reason the dispenser isn’t dispensing any lotion, but I’m still working on it. Determined to get it working. Watch this space.
Faces Cosmetics
Faces Glam On Lipstick
Faces Ultra Lip Plump
I tried two lips products from Faces Cosmetics in India. The first is the Glam On Lipstick in shade 03 Fantasize. Again this is a neutral, everyday lipstick in a slightly deeper red to the faces Colorbar Lipstick mentioned above. The second product I picked up from Faces Cosmetics is their Ultra Lip Plump gloss in shade Le Flirt. This is a light peach coloured plumping gloss with a glistening shine.
Forest Essentials Soundarya Advanced Serum
Forest Essentials was by far by favourite store that I stumbled upon in India. I literally wanted to try every skincare product in there. They all smelled so good and everything seemed so different to the general products I’ve tried on the UK Skincare market. In the end I could not leave this Soundarya Advanced Serum behind, I mean it contains 24 Karat Gold, need I say anymore!
