Let’s start the week off with a little outfit post shall we. If you follow Bec Boop on Instagram you might have seen that I was at home in Galway a couple of weeks ago. During my visit I was invited into Guna Geal, a fashion store in Athenry, Co. Galway to check out their collection of unique, reversible, wrap skirts.

Outfit Evaluation
Before I get into the lowdown on this outfit I wanted to inform you that this skirt can be worn in a multitude of different ways, which I’ll go into in more detail below. In styling it I chose my favourite style but this is only one of a various number of ways you could choose to wear the skirt. I’ve worn it in the short length, which is quite short, but it’s a length I would be comfortable wearing with black tights underneath. As the print in the skirt is so vibrant I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple but still add a pop of girliness so I went with this pink Primark blouse. I really like these blouses, I have a long-sleeved one in baby blue too.
The statement necklace from Phase Eight added a bit of glam to the look and complimented the studded button detail in the skirt quite well. Finally to complete the look I went with my black patent Dr. Martens boots. This is a look I would wear during the day so I wanted to keep it with flat shoes and as you all know I do like my Dr. Martens.
The Zand Skirt available at Guna Geal
It’s really important for me to support local fashion and especially in my home town of Athenry, Co. Galway so I was super excited to visit Guna Geal. This is Irish (as Gaeilge) for any of my readers outside Ireland. The name of the shop translates directly from Irish to English as – Bright Dress. Sara, the owner showed me the range of unique, fair-trade wrap skirts from Zand, Amsterdam which Guna Geal currently stock. I have literally never seen anything like these skirts. They are completely unique meaning you will never come across two of the exact same style. The innovative design also means that one-size-fits-all and the collection includes skirts for children and women. As mentioned earlier, I’ve gone with the shorter length in this outfit but you could quite easily wear the medium or long length style of the skirts should you choose. It’s totally up to you! That’s what I love about the wrap-skirts you can play around and have fun with them, to fit into your own personal style.
There’s a cute little removable pouch bag on the skirt (see more in the image below) and everything from the belt detail to the actual skirt can be reversed or interchanged to mix up the combinations you’re wearing. These skirts also come in a range of different fabrics including cotton, jersey, jacquard, wool and corduroy.
The price range for the skirts is €59-€69 and they are completely fair-trade. Guna Geal is the sole provider of these amazing skirts in the West of Ireland so make sure to check them out on Facebook or drop in to their store on Church St., Athenry, Co. Galway if you’re in the vicinity.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments below, how would you style this skirt?

It fits you, it's a girlish style and colour you should wear. Very nice rest of the outfit. And, after some reflection, I accepted even the rather heavier boots to complete this rather light outfit! 😀
The skirt is gorgeous, it really makes me want to put some skirts back into my wardrobe!
What a great outfit! Love the individuality that's expressed in your style!
