My office Christmas party took place last Friday. This is always one of my favourite night’s out of the year and a great excuse to get glammed up at Christmas time. This year I put my outfit together rather last minute, picking up this reclaimed vintage dress in the Black Friday sales last week. There’s genuinely no going wrong with red velvet when it comes to Christmas fashion and I completely indulged in this trend for this year’s party. ‘Click to View Post’ under the image to continue reading and shop the look…

There’s a common misconception that redheads can’t wear red. I’ve never paid much attention to this belief and especially not when it comes to Christmas fashion. I was browsing the ASOS mobile app while watching the Late Late Toy Show last week when I set eyes upon this beauty. Is this not THE perfect Christmas party dress? I loved everything about it – the dainty lace collar detail, the simplicity of the t-shirt style cut along with the red velvet material. It just screams CHRISTMAS! I knew it would suit my petite frame although I’ll warn you i did think it was quite short on but this is offset by the fact that the top half of the dress is pretty well-covered up. I adored the vintage feel to the dress and it definitely suited my Bec Boop fashion style.
I decided to stick with the red velvet detail and affixed a pretty headband to my back-combed do. It killed me not to wear a bow in my hair but hey; at least there was some sort of headband there! I debated wearing a choker style necklace but in the end these glam earrings, also from New Look, were the perfect jewellery accessory to complete the party look. I treated myself to LENNI2 Chunky Platforms from Topshop which were surprisingly comfortable to wear even when dancing the night away!
My make up look was centred on the lips wearing Urban Decay liner in shade 69 and Smashbox Be Legendary Matte Lipstick in shade Infrared. If you follow @bec_boop on Instagram you’ll find some more outfit pics and detail shots from the night.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. What’s your idea of the perfect Christmas party outfit?
Don’t forget you can shop the look below and I’ll have a mini ‘Get Ready with Me’ video from the Christmas Party night over on the Bec Boop YouTube channel very soon!
