Book Review – Divergent

A very big welcome to the first (and only) contributor on Bec Boop – Krisha Bhattari. At the moment with work and moving house plans for early in the New Year I have been even busier than usual, yeah I bet you thought that was not possible! I have also wanted to branch out Bec Boop to include other genres of blog posts such as movie or book reviews. The main focus of the blog will still of course be fashion, beauty and events but it’s good to mix things up every now and again….keep my fashionista followers on their toes!
Krisha aspires to become a journalism student when she finishes school. She is originally from Nepal and has been living in Ireland for over ten years now. I hope you will enjoy Krisha’s guest posts here as much as I enjoy reading them.
Divergent Book Review Blog
If you loved books like “The Hunger Games” or “The Maze Runner” then you’ll love the latest Sci-fi book “Divergent” by Veronica Roth. Written from the viewpoint of Beatrice Prior, a sixteen year old from the Abnegation factor, who lives in a futuristic version of Chicago in which the citizens are divided into five factions. Each faction upholds a certain characteristic and one day each year all sixteen year olds take an aptitude test that tells them which faction would suit them best. We follow Beatrice on her journey as she uncovers herself and the secrets of those around her.
This book was an absolutely fantastic read and it had a deep message that you should not be afraid of taking risks and trying new things. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
