Newbridge Silverware Visitors Centre and Museum of Style Icons

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I did a lot of partying towards the end of last week as we had some celebrations in work so it’s been a bit quieter on the blog front as a result of that! On Saturday I took my hungover head to Newbridge for a spot of shopping with mother dearest. First off we popped into the White Water Shopping Centre, I cannot believe we were never there before! What a shopaholic’s dream! I am going to try and make another visit there before Christmas as there was so many great shops which are not available in the West and it makes a pleasant change from shopping in the busy capital.

After that we made a visit to the nearby Newbridge Silverware Visitor’s Centre. Again….why was I never here before????!!! What a treasure located in our own beautiful country. I could have spent all day there and unfortunately did not have as much time browsing as I would have liked so there we have it, another excuse to visit Newbridge soon! The Museum of Style Icon’s is a fashionista’s heaven! I could have happily spent hours looking at the various outfits, artefacts and sketches in the museum. AMAZING! I have shared some images I took below, apologies about the image quality, only had the iPhone on me! The best part, visiting the museum is free!

The visitors centre also hosts the beautiful silverware collections including stunning jewellery, cutlery, ornaments and handbags.

Getting in the festive season I spotted the original costume from the 1947 movie ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ in the Museum!
