Today I ventured away from my usual work attire which consists of monochrome looks, grey suits and pastel blouses and wore this pretty bird print pocket dress by
Closet Clothing. I have been looking forward to styling this dress which I received from
Love my Figure, Love my Fashion as a blogger affiliate and was excited to show you something different here – an office look.
Bag: G by Guess // Necklace: H&M // Rings: Penneys/Primark
Love my Figure, Love my Fashion (LMFLMF) is a new online dress shop where you can shop by your body shape. I think this is so different to the other online shops which I would usually buy from and on the website there is an easy-to-use calculator where you can determine your body shape if you are unsure which category you are in. They will even send you a free measure tape to figure this out if you do not already have one!
I fit into the Hourglass shape category and I often find it difficult to get clothes that fit well. At just over 5′ tall I would be petite with a largish chest and small waistline. I am wearing the dress in a size 10, usually I would go for a size 8 but as this dress is more suited to my body shape specifically it fits fine at a size up. Also as I was planning on wearing it to the office I wanted to ensure it was appropriate and not tight fitting. There is a tie at the waist which accentuates the waist line and flatters my body shape. I usually would never ever wear a v-neck top or dress to the office however this neck line really flatters the bust area without showing too much cleavage. I love that this dress is extremely versatile, it works well for an office chic look and would also look great with flats and a cardigan for a casual look or killer heels for a night on the town. The oversized shoulders are another cute feature which make this dress so easy to wear.
I adore the detail on the dress – pockets and epaulettes which look very cute. I will definitely wear this dress more over the A/W season as it would work well with layering, today I wore a navy cami under it. The colours are so vibrant too and it is a nice bright addition to my work wardrobe.

I accessorised with a bright statement necklace, again drawing the eyes away from the cleavage line and ensuring the overall look is work-appropriate. I love the range of rings in Primark/Penneys at the moment, this cute eternity ring and oversized spring style ring worked well with the outfit. I especially like how they complement today’s nail polish – Essence – Breaking Dawn shade 03 ‘A Piece of Forever’. I went with nude patent court pumps to complete the look which I would wear a lot with my work outfits.
