June’s mobile app review is the facebook app from
Shopcade, an original online personal shopping experience. Reviewing mobile apps takes me on a journey of discovery each month and I love finding funky new apps to tease my love for fashion. I was introduced to Shopcade through a competition run by Etail PR
here.
Basically Shopcade allows you to discover new products, create lists and get exclusive deals. The unique aspect of this personal shopping app is that Shopcade selects new products specifically for you based on your profile.
App Review: Shopcade
Price: Free on iPhone market
Features: Browse new products, create lists of the things you want and get exclusive deals
Score: ★★★★
To use the app you have to sign in with your facebook account which was kind of a bummer as I had just set up an online Shopcade account on the website and now I effectively have two Shopcade accounts. Once you register for the first time you create your profile which enables Shopcade to suggest items you might like. On your profile you can follow people, add shops and brands you like to your homepage and create lists of products you are interested in. By clicking ‘Want’ on an item you will be notified of future deals on this product. This is a great way to keep track of offers tailored to your specific style. You can browse through various categories which are not just limited to fashion!
The deals page shows some offers on products you might like. You can then click in and shop or add them to your ‘want’ list. The people page shows featured trendsetters and people which Shopcade thinks you might like to follow. Your feed shows products tailored to your profile. The first two items in my feed are cute and are items I would be interested in however I am not quite sure why Shopcade have mens boxers in my feed!
Check out the various screenshots below for a better idea of what the app looks like.
I have given Shopcade 4 stars as I think it will be a pretty useful app for shopping.
Have any of you fashionistas used this app yet or tried Shopcade? Let me know what you think.
