Cocktails & Cosmetics

Last night I was lucky enough to attend the launch party for the new cocktail menu at The House Hotel, Galway! Let me start by saying I don’t know why I was never in this bar before as it is the Ultimate Fashionista spot in Galway and I absolutely love it! I was really excited about this event as it was in association with Benefit Cosmetics who were hosting a pop up shop, make up demonstrations and giveaways! I tried some yummy cocktails/shorts  and my favourites were ‘the Superman’, the strawberry daiquiri and of the course the pink champagne mojito. There were lots of other unique and tasty drinks on the menu which will prove very popular I am sure!
I went with this fun outfit as I didn’t have a lot of time to get ready after work and wanted to wear something quick and comfortable. The jacket is my favourite piece in the outfit! I got this last weekend in Forever 21 and I love the padded shoulders (channelling my inner Carrie Diaries!) and the different panels. The graphic top was a steal in Penney’s from a few seasons ago and I wore it with ultra-skinny G by Guess wet-look skinny jeans. I had been looking for an opportunity to wear these sky-scraper high heels which my fab sister gave me as a gift! I love the bows!
Jacket: Forever 21 here, Top: Penneys, Jeans: Similar here, Shoes: New Look

I went for a completely different look than I would normally when it came to the make-up and wore red lipstick and heavy black eyeliner. I watched as the benebabes demonstrated the new ‘fake-up’ concealer and I am really excited about my Benefit makeover tomorrow morning. Look out for some make-up tips in my next post. We even went away with some super cute Benefit goodies 🙂
