Physicians Formula is the US Mega Brand which launched here in Ireland at the start of June. I was sent two of their products to try out and review as an introduction to the brand. Read on to see what I thought.
To be honest I was not all too familiar with the brand before hearing about their launch here. Founded in the 1930’s with a pledge to create high quality, hypoallergenic cosmetic and skincare products Physicians Formula (PF) has been around for quite some time. Surprisingly enough PF was the first company to create a line of hypoallergenic make-up!
Sexy Booster Glow Glossy Stain
The first product I tried out was the Sexy Booster Glow Glossy Stain. This is a lipgloss/stain combo product. The first of it’s kind which I’ve come across. The innovative formula promises richly, pigmented pout-enhancing colour. First off, I loved the packaging and the cute high-heel charm. The pink and red mixed colour is so appealing. I’m overwhelmed by the sexy-boosting formula. This lippy contains the ancient aphrodisiac Horny Goatweed to enhance your sexy side! The colour is really long-lasting too although I did find it had more of a matte-stain like finish than a gloss but nonetheless I was quite impressed!

Shimmer Strips Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio
This trio of kohl kajal eyeliners comes in various colours depending on your eye-colour. I got the ‘blue-eyes’ set which contained black, navy and brown eyeliners. The packaging isn’t amazing however they are so easy to use I really can’t fault them here. I tend to use a liquid eyeliner pen most of the time so I got quite a different look when using these. I liked the shades too although found them a little dark which you can see in the swatch above. They have a hard texture which makes the eye-liner last quite a while.
Retail price €16.90
PF prices range from €10.90-€19.90 and are available in pharmacies nationwide in Ireland. We’re spoiled for choice here in Galway as PF is available in O’Flaherty pharmacy Athenry, Brendan Quinn Pharmacy Gort and Care Pharmacy Salthill.
I’d love to hear from anyone else who has tried Physicians Formula, in particular these products. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts.
