All About the Coat

I hope you are all having a fashionable week! This is an outfit I wore on Saturday when I went shopping with my sister. I had spotted this location in Athenry and thought it would make a cute outfit backdrop. 

I had been on the look out for an oversized coat for the last while and fell in love with this one from River Island which I picked up in London. River Island have the best selection of oversized blazers at the moment, I love this glitzy take on monochrome check print. These blazers are great for a casual shopping look where they take center stage as the focal point of the outfit. I kept the rest of the outfit very simple sticking to skinny black jeans and a black top so the coat could do all the talking. I usually wear smaller stud style earrings during the week at work so I find it fun to wear larger statement jewellery pieces at the weekend, even if it is only on a shopping trip.
