I recently signed up to a bloggers Secret Santa organised by the darling Fiona from Dolly Dowsie. I have not done a blogger exchange of this variety before so I was really looking forward first of all to finding out my who my partner was and finding some suitable treats for them within the €25 budget. Secondly, of course I was looking forward to receiving a beauty surprise in the post! It was really pleasant to do a Secret Santa exchange with a complete ‘blogger ‘ stranger as compared to the regular office Secret Santa exchange I would partake in. Here is a look at what I received from my Secret Santa partner who I discovered was the lovely Sarah from Beauty with Brushes. I feel totally spoiled! Thanks Sarah!
I had such a big smile on my face when I seen the Disney beauty bag! I am a massive Disney fan and this is so cute and girly. As I have mentioned before I travel a lot with work and this will be perfect for keeping all my essential beauty products together on-the-go and at the same time adding some Disney love to my travel life. The Disney bag was jam-packed with beauty surprises! Next up was the Soap and Glory treats. To be honest I have not tried many Soap and Glory products so I am really looking forward to using these. The pink packaging was always going to be a winner. Again, these are all the perfect travel size for someone on-the-go like me. There was a non-greasy hand cream which actually contains marshmallows among other things, yes, I can see why it’s called ‘Hand Food’ now! A shower gel with built-in body lotion and some body butter which also smelled amazing! Sarah also got me a really cute handbag sized 2014 diary. Perfect for my organisation obsession! I can start filling this in right away! The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge really intrigued me. I have not used a sponge of this kind before when doing my make-up so am looking forward to trying it.
I received two Catrice Cosmetics products; an infinite shine lip-gloss in shade ‘Peach on the Beach’ and a defining blush product in ‘Rose Royce’. I will certainly use both of these products and I like that the lip-gloss is a little different to the standard ‘red lip-gloss’ which I seem to have so many of! At least this will add a bit of colour variety to my make-up pallette. The blush shade also looks like it will really suit my complexion, although I have not yet swatched it. In the package was one super glitzy nail polish, also from Catrice Cosmetics in shade 45 ‘Kitch me if you Can’ and an adorable mini-set of nail polishes from Primark. These nail polish shades are perfect for the festive party season. As if all that was not enough, my Secret Santa gave me loads of samples to try out which you can see above from Ziaja, a brand I had not heard of before.
If you would like to see what I got for Sarah head over and read her blog post HERE.
I would love to see what other beauty bloggers received in Secret Santa exchanges so feel free to link them below. In particular I would like to know if there are any of these products which you would like to see a review of? Have you tried any of these products?
