Looking After my Sk:n

You guys know I love blogging and one of my favourite perks is definitely being introduced to new brands. I’m always excited to try out a new skincare or beauty products or meet with a new independent fashion boutique. This is how I get my kicks people! A new skincare brand I was recently introduced to is Sk:n and in today’s post I’m going to tell you a little about them and share my thoughts on two of their top products – the Age Delaying Cream and the Vitamin Rich Cleanser.

Age-Delaying Cream – Younger Skin*

anti-ageing skincare review
The first product I tried was the age-delaying cream. This cream is designed to delay the first signs of ageing. I’m in my late twenties and I don’t think it’s ever too early to start looking after your skin. We’re always told prevention is better than cure but that is genuinely the case. With the Sk:n age-delaying cream this is designed to delay the effects of ageing on the skin while being suitable for younger skin also. The majority of anti-ageing skincare products are targeted at the mature lady as we often tend to forget about the importance of looking after our skin at a younger age. This will really begin to show in your skin once you hit your mid-twenties; especially if, like me, you’re fond of the weekend late night party sessions. I’m speaking from experience.
That’s what I really liked about this product. It contains clinically targeted peptides which work at targeting fine lines and loss of firmness. The cream also contains Vitamin A which helps to keep cell turnover regulated.  You use it like a regular moisturiser, apply morning and evening after cleansing. I was surprised to find that it also contains shea butter which is a boost when it comes to nourishing and moisturising the skin so this was a plus. I like to mix up my day to night skincare routine so I preferred to use this in the evening and allow it to do it’s magic overnight.

Vitamin Rich Cleanser*

cleanser skincare review
As much as I consider my skin to be under the sensitive bracket I still said I would give this a go since it’s produced by a recognised skincare clinic. This cream based cleanser is recommended for normal to combination skin. I would usually go for this type of cleanser to remove my makeup in the evenings, always opting for cream-based over those little terrors – face wipes! I quite liked how gentle this was on my skin, containing age fighting (see above for the importance of this!) vitamins A, C & E and antioxidants it was super, super kind to my skin. It also contains evening primrose oil which has tons of soothing and healing properties.
Again it’s recommend by Sk:n to use this morning and night but the cleanser quickly found a place in my evening skincare routine followed by the Age Delaying Cream above. I think the price of this is quite fair considering you get such a generous amount of product. It’s lasted me quite well.
