Have you enjoyed the bank holiday weekend a little too much? Is your skin suffering the symptoms of over-partying? If the answer is yes then continue to read because in today’s blog post I bring you the perfect treat for your face for this bank holiday Monday to have you looking and feeling refreshed to start a new week – the Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask.
Leading a busy London lifestyle I often find it hard to take the time out to actually pamper my skin. I do think that we should all take some ‘me-time’ every week – run a bath, pop in a Lush bath bomb or bubble bar and lie back with a face mask on. Unfortunately I definitely don’t fit this in every week, as much as I’d love to, but it’s something I’m going to try and incorporate more going forward. I have however been using this face mask from the Body Shop over the last few weeks and it’s one that I think will be making an appearance in my May favourites video over on the Bec Boop YouTube channel.
How Does it Work?
The first time I applied this face mask I’ll admit, I was pretty amazed. It warms on contact with wet skin so that when you apply it there’s the loveliest heat sensation on your skin. Pretty awesome! The face mask is also suitable for all skin types which is great. I have sensitive skin and it worked like a dream on my face. It is recommended as a weekly cleansing treatment and you just apply a thick layer to wet skin, leave for five minutes and then rinse off.
My Thoughts
I am quite a fan of the Body Shop as you probably know. Their latest product offerings have been really good and although this is one of the older face masks on the market it’s still a good, reliable one nonetheless. I really enjoyed using this mask. It was my first time using a self-warming skincare product and I found that to be really relaxing and gentle on my skin. By warming this opens your pores for deeper cleansing so it truly does leave your skin feeling super clean. At £10 it is a little pricey for a face mask product but to be fair the tube is quite large – you get 100ml which will definitely last you more than a month if you’re using it on a weekly basis. The mask itself is kaolin clay based which is a naturally occurring soft clay that can frequently be found in facial skincare products. It also contains ginger and cinnamon to invigorate and algae to purify and condition.
