A first on the blog this week – a drinks review. I’m showing you the latest collection from popular soft-drinks brand Zeo. Now, I’m by no means the healthiest blogger out there (hardly lol) but I try my best when it comes to being healthy so I wouldn’t be featuring something a food or drink product here if it didn’t fit in with this theme. Nobody wants to read about a fizzy soft-drink that’s bad for your teeth but these drinks really caught my interest as they contain a super low level of sugar and I was excited to try them out.
Zeo Lightly Carbonated Soft Drinks*
Details
Now I for one hadn’t heard of Zeo drinks previously but the pretty bottles looked too cute to resist. Zeo drinks are a premium soft-drinks brand and as part of their SS15 range they have just launched four exciting new flavours – Peach & Grapefruit, Zesty Lime, Blood Orange & Citrus and Mixed Berry. I tried three out of the four flavours. Zeo Drinks are refreshing soft drinks with low sugar content and contain only naturally sourced ingredients and botanicals with great taste.
Available from Tesco, Co-Op, WHSmith, Ocado and One-Stop with RRP £1.29 in the UK & Northern Ireland.
My Thoughts
Since I started Invisalign Invisible Braces I’ve really been trying to reduce my sugar intake but I was understandably skeptical of what the flavour compromise would be. I
I started with the Zesty Lime flavour and nothing could have prepared me for how refreshing it is! Literally super thirst-quenching. I’m not a big fan of citrus flavoured drinks in general but this just struck me as the perfect Summer BBQ soft drink.
The next flavour I tried was the Peach & Grapefruit one which has a light blush colouring and contains a blend of ripened peaches with juicy ruby and red grapefruits. This one was quite refreshing also with a tangy kick.
Finally I tried the Mixed Berry flavour which contains raspberries, blueberries and cranberries. I really liked this flavour and it was definitely my favourite out of the three.
I think these drinks would also make healthy spritzer alternatives to mix with your white wine or vodka/gin on a Friday night. I love that the flavour team at Zeo have created bespoke recipes to suit each variant of the sparkling drink and they look delish. I’m so tempted to try them out!
