Urban Decay | Beauty Review

I’m starting off this week with a beauty review featuring some products from Urban Decay which I’ve been trying out recently. You might remember last month I visited Urban Decay in Debenhams, Galway where I was given an overview of some of their Naked Skin and Lips products.

Naked Skin

I don’t know if it’s just me but I find myself having to change my foundation usually every 6 months. I believe it’s a comination of changes in the weather and how my skin reacts to this. So after trying out the Naked Skin products I am totally won over and can see these products being my Summer skin make-up must-haves. The Weightless Ultra Defnition Liquid Make Up is so light, it actually feels like you are wearing very little make-up while at the same time giving your skin a dewy matte look and hiding any blemishes. I have been wearing shade 2.0 which is perfect for a daytime look and I’ve also been wearing it on nights out with some added bronzer for a little darker look. Since there are 18 shades available in this foundation it is easy to find a shade to suit your skin. I don’t wear any fake tan and I find this shade fits my complexion really well. This foundation is oil-free and paraben-free which is something I’ve been taking note of more recently. I used the Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder to set my make-up. I’ve tried quite a few different loose powders in an effort to find the ultimate setting product and I have to say there is something very different about this powder. The powder is super-silky and again very light as it is designed to look invisible on your skin. I used shade Naked Light which is the lightest of five shades available. I usually tend to go for a heavy coverage when it comes to my skin make-up and now I am enjoying trying out a lighter coverage product, I’m pretty impressed. The Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Make Up retails at €34 in Debenhams with the Loose Finishing Powder at €28.

Lips

Let’s start my review of the Urban Decay Lips products by saying I have never used a lip-liner before!! After receiving the 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil from Urban Decay I was determined to give it a go. So with a slightly shakey hand I applied the liner around the edges of my lips. It was a lot easier to apply than I had imagined and I’ve become addicted! I’ve been wearing the lip-liner and lipstick on every night out recently and I’ve found the lip liner really is quite long lasting (even after a few bevarages). At €18 from Debenhams, this is something I will be definitely adding a few more shades of to my lippie collection. After using the lip-liner I applied the Urban Decay Revolution lipstick using a lip-brush. This lipstick at first has a creamy feel but quickly sets for a matte, long-lasting finish. I used shade 69 which is a pinky-red shade and perfect for a pop of colour this Summer for only €20 from Debenhams.
I had a really good weekend out partying with my sister and used all of these Urban Decay products in the image above. Previously I had only used the Naked eye-shadow palettes but now I will definitely be adding more Urban Decay products to my beauty collection.

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Have you tried out any of these products? What were your thoughts?
