Proud Sister

Last Thursday my sister Stephanie Casserly took part in the Miss Galway 2014 contest in Coyotes Late Bar in Galway City. This is something I was extremely excited about in the run-up to competition and although Stephanie did not win the crown on the night there is no doubt that she did herself and all of us very proud!

I felt like the proudest sister in the world watching Stephanie take to the catwalk in the contest with her natural gorgeous looks. There was no need for hair extensions or fake tan for Stephanie her beauty shone through. Although we have very different style I always love the outfits Stephanie puts together. She is one of those people who set fashion trends rather than follow them. There were three categories for the fashion show competition with 18 girls competing for the title of Miss Galway 2014. Stephanie had her make-up done by Eva Beauty Room who we have worked with quite a lot and she did an amazing job as always! For the first category ‘casual-wear’ Stephanie wore a blue lace dress and brown hat. This really represented her unique sense of style and I loved the look. Then we had the bikini round which I’m sure all the ladies were nervous about but of course they all looked stunning! (Bikini body envy much!) For the formal wear Stephanie wore a red ballgown; who says redheads can’t wear red? She was also interviewed on stage by MC Declan Gardiner. I think for this I was more nervous than Stephanie 🙂 She was like an absolute pro on stage and we were all so unbelievably proud. You could tell Stephanie was so passionate when talking about the topics which matter most to her such as her lifetime of voluntary work with the Oranmore Civil Defence where she is also a leader aswell as working full time as a nurse in UHG. Stephanie then went on to explain her opinion on the three traits which a modern woman should have.
A big congrats to the winner on the night Leah Tiernan. We all had a fantastic night supporting Stephanie and could not have been prouder of the baby in our family! She was our winner 🙂 Well done Steph!
