I am usually not a ‘surprises’ person but I have to say I was so impressed when my fiancé gave me this nail lacquer set at the weekend! It was another present he picked up for me when he was in New York for the Holidays. With Valentine’s Day closer than we think I took some romance inspired product shots for this post.

The Michael Kors Holiday Nail Lacquer Set features three full-size, limited edition metallic shades in Runway Star (gold), Rock Star (silver) and Superstar (bronze).  Personally I love each of the three shades. Runway Star is fab because the shade is quite deep, often with metallic gold shades they can appear rather thin or light on the nails however this is not the case here. Superstar is a crisp bronze shade  and my favourite is certainly Rock Star which is a dark silver shade with hints of gold. This colour is quite unique and luxurious. The packaging is designed such that the gold cap is easily removable leaving a standard nail polish lid holder which is quite easy for application. I was quite impressed by the finish, I have used two coats in the images above and they dried quite quickly revealing a strong, opaque shade. Two days later (while working frantically at a laptop keyboard may I add!) there is no chips!
