Monochrome for Style in the City

Style in the City took place last Wednesday. This was a charity fashion event which I co-hosted and organised along with the Stock Exchange and Cotton Face Vintage. Click here to read the full event preview and all the details. I cannot thank everyone enough for the support which was shown for the two charities and the turn-out for event was amazing. There was a queue down Shop Street in Galway City from 5pm which I could not believe!!
I love layering my outfits for a different look so I wore a quilted black t-shirt over a black and white vertical-striped dress. This enables the same one item of clothing to be worn in a variety of different ways and is a fun way to change up your look. It can also be surprising to see how layering can change the look of an item. I took the layering as far as the accessories also by wearing two statement necklaces. I added my black bowler hat for a cute finish to the outfit. Don’t forget you can browse and shop this look at the bottom of the post.
How do you incorporate layering into your outfits?
I had another difficult task on the night and that was selecting the ‘Best Dressed’ winner! Stylish fashionista Michelle McDonagh from Intrigued and Infatuated was the lucky winner.
