Bec Boop Grams

This is the first ‘Instagram round-up’ post I am sharing on the blog! If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, my user-name is bec_boop. I share lots of photos here of my blog posts and of my personal style and you will also see my baby Kingsley the Bich-Poo in action regularly along with images of things Bec Boop likes in general! I am currently away with work and as we had nothing but rain last weekend I have no outfit posts to share with you so I thought it was an appropriate time to do a Bec Boop Grams round-up.
First up is this fabulous necklace I received as a giveaway prize on my all-time favourite fashion blog A Love Affair With Fashion. I was so excited to win this prize as I have followed Naty’s blog for what seems like forever! I absolutely love her style and she is such a sweetie! This necklace was also featured in my recent Cagecity outfit styling post, it is the fleur-de-lis rose-gold chunky chain from OIA Jules.
The second Bec Boop gram is a shot from Halloween night where I dressed up with my sister Stephanie. If I am perfectly honest I did not have the time to put together a great costume, and I never could have topped last year’s Betty Boop look! So I opted to dress up as my version of Eminem. Surprisingly enough, I was a mahoosive Eminem fan back in the day and had myself convinced I would be a rapper living in Detroit at this stage….needless to say that did not happen! Stephanie was a little more adventurous looking stunning as Poison Ivy. We had a great night and enjoyed some well-deserved vino!
Number 3 is the ‘Wild Child’ hand-painted false nails I received from Devine Nails. I love how glitzy and fun these nails are and they were so durable, we had no false nail disasters! I wore them to the Dublin Bloggers meet-up which was such a fun event. I also adore the cute scrabble-style ring which I picked up at a flea market in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
You might remember I was recenltly one of five finalists for Social and Personal Magazine’s competition: Ireland’s Next Top Fashion Blogger! When I attended the awards night for this event at the Clare and Irish Fashion Designers Showcase I met Mikie O’Loughlin, who was the lucky winner on the night. I never got around to posting a feature on this event so here is a recap of my outfit, I wore a pale pink Lipsy dress and zebra Louboutins with a vintage silver bag.
I could not do an insta round-up post without including my baby-boo…Kingsley the Bich-Poo. Kingsley is one year old since July and has brought my fiancé and I so much fun, love and happiness since the day we were blessed to get this baby. We love him so much and I have Kingsley as my screensaver on my phone and laptop as I miss him like crazy when I am away with work 🙁 Don’t worry, he is having lots of fun with his cousins (Lando and Geronimo) at my parents house!
In September I attended the Schuh AW 13 press preview which you can read all about here. I was gob-smacked when the lovely team told me I could select any (YES ANY!) pair of shoes from the new collection. Well after a deliberation which seemed to go on for an age I chose these burgundy velvet platform heels with chain detail and the beauty’s arrived last week…in perfect time for the party season! Shop these shoes here.
Last week I finally set up a mini home-office where I can work and blog in comfort. I am in the process of moving house and I can’t wait to share my photos when I finalise everything but for the moment this mini-office is perfect! The coffee mug in support of breast cancer awareness is from Penneys/Primark and I picked up this very convenient magazine holder from Tesco which fits really well with the décor.
On another night out in Galway city with Stephanie we popped into the Dáil Bar where we treated ourselves to the ultimate fashion cocktail – the ‘Juicy Couture’ cocktail! Yummy is an understatement!
Finally, I end this post with a snap from a brand new feature on Bec Boop – ‘Wishing For…’ where you can now browse and shop my wishlist. You will find this wishlist in my right sidebar and some of my current lusts are included in it. The image I chose to share is one of the bangles from the Alex and Ani collection which I think are truly beautiful, I love this one which is my star sign – Pisces. I am a strong believer in star signs impacting on personality and life (another surprising fact there)! I believe these bangles can become quite the addiction!
I hope you enjoyed this round-up and don’t forget to follow me on instagram bec_boop.
