Dublin Bloggers Meet Up

On Saturday I made the, now frequent, trip to Dublin for a fantastic blogger meet-up organised by Samantha of the blog All The Buzz. I was really looking forward to meeting Samantha as I had been in touch with her via the Twitter-sphere recently and am a follower of her blog. The venue was the Church café/bar on Jervis Street, Dublin which is swiftly becoming my favourite night-spot in the city! I just cannot seem to resist the passionfruit and vanilla mojito!

Arriving early to the venue (or so I thought) I was pleasantly surprised to see the room already filling with fashion and beauty bloggers alike. We were given not one, not two…but three amazing goodie bags from various sponsors including a store I was delighted to discover – the Cosmetic Outlet. After devouring one of the tasty cupcakes from Monaco Cupcakes I indulged in a cocktail and settled into some mingling with the other bloggers. My favourite part of meet-up events is chatting with similar minded people and getting to meet bloggers who you might already have been in touch with online. I was happy to see some bloggers who I knew from attending my Galway Bloggers Party and I was also introduced to some new bloggers.

Before long we were treated to a demo of Nima Brush, I really do love being introduced to new brands at these kind of events! Nima Brush are a really colourful make up brush company in Ireland and they kindly gave us all one brush each after the demo!!  There was a charity raffle where we raised money for Reach Out Ireland and some amazing prizes were won by some lucky bloggers! Then before we all headed our separate ways we received an invaluable talk from Her.ie editor – Michelle Mc Mahon. Michelle really is an inspiring public speaker and I can safely say each and every blogger in the venue could relate to her. She gave us some tips and advice in relation to the online/journalism world and stayed around after to chat with us all.
I kept my outfit very simple as I had to think ‘travel fashion’ for the bus journey.

What I Wore:

Black mohair jumper, super short gold pattern shorts, black tassle ankle-boots Penneys/Primark // Black bowler hat, black statement necklace River Island
Thank you so much Samantha for organising such a great event, I only wish I had got a photo with the hostess to share here! Next time!
