BAFTAs 2013: Best Dressed

Hi Fashionistas, were you watching the BAFTAs on TV last night? The fashion on display was amazing and in such contrast to last weeks MET Gala Ball. Here are my five best dressed nominees from this years British Academy Film and Television Awards Show at London’s Royal Opera House.

Anne Hathaway in Burberry

I love this Burberry gown and the gold studded detail adds an edgy feel to the actresses style. I think the dress works well with Anne’s current hairstyle and this is a dress which I would love to wear! Anne Hathaway was lucky enough to pick up an award on the night – Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Miserables. The accessories complement the dress perfectly and Anne is wearing Rona Pfeiffer bangles and a cute Les Miserables clutch bag.

Laura Whitmore in Sophia Kah

I can see a trend starting to develop in the style from the BAFTA awards! Black was certainly the colour of the night. Again, this is a dress I love and the glitzy number adds a party/fun element to Laura’s look. I admit, I had not heard of the designer before seeing the dress, however it is a style which I really like. The TV presenter always looks cool and modern and she worked this look with a metallic clutch bag.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

Jennifer Lawrence was forced to walk the red carpet with a large blazer draped over the dress due to the terrible weather on the night. She looked stunning once we got a proper look at the ballgown. Lawrence loves her Dior dresses and this Haute Couture gown simply took my breath away! I adore the girly colour, cute sequins and the actress added elegant accessories with Chopard jewellery and a slicked back hair style which really fits her image of late.

Paula Lane in Sve Couture

I had to include the talented Coronation Street Actress in my top five best dressed nominees from the BAFTAs as I think she looked absolutely fab in this halter-neck ballgown, a far cry from her Corrie/Kylie Platt look and I almost did not recognise her. Again, wearing black on the night Paula wore an elegant up do hair style and vampy red lipstick. The backless dress looked so elegant with on-trend sequins.

Jessica Chastain in Roland Mouret

Jessica is the best dressed winner in my eyes, and I promise her red hair does not make me biased! Blue looks absolutely fab on her complexion and works well with her hair colour. I love that she went against the trend on the night opting for a satin, bright, one-shoulder ballgown. Jessica wears gorgeous Harry Winston jewellery.
What do you think Fashionistas? Who was your BAFTAs 2013 best dressed? Do you see a potential fashionista of the month?
