App of the Week: STYLE.COM

App Review: STYLE.COM App for iphone
Price: Free
Features: Style videos, Fashion Shows, Parties, Look of the Day, Men’s Fashion and Style File Blog
Score:★★★★
This week Bec Boop tried the STYLE.COM iPhone App which has some very good features. The home screen is organised into 6 categories. This is the mobile app version of the successful STYLE.COM website and I was surprised that there was no charge to download this app. For a fashion blogger this app is a necessity, using the ‘Style Videos’ feature you can browse videos of the recent fashion shows, alternatively using the ‘Fashion Shows’ feature I was able to look at photos from recent fashion shows or search through all fashion shows. My favourite feature on this app was the ‘Look of the Day’ vote.  Here you can vote from a selection of different looks which updates daily. You can then see the actual vote results and review how your choice fared against other STYLE.COM users.
For anyone who loves to keep up to date with the latest celebrity fashion trends, the ‘parties’ feature gives great photo coverage of the fashion at all the latest celeb bash’s.
A unique feature of this app is that it also caters for men’s fashion with in-depth coverage of the top menswear shows, again you can view by latest shows or all shows.
Finally the ‘Style File blog’ is linked to the app to make for some very good reading.

I have given this app 4 stars on an overall basis because it provides excellent fashionista coverage especially for a free app. For those of us who were not lucky enough to attend a fashion week this year the Style.com app gives us a real front seat experience.

browsing through some of the articles I realized it's new to me.

  2. Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering
if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
